So after doing a considerable amount of research, and believe me when I say considerable, I went with a NEW Lenovo X60. I looked at: reviews, some of the videos on YouTube, as well as checked one that a collegue from my old work has. I like the X60 Tablet's shape and build.
The only two things that was keeping me from purchasing the Lenovo X60 are:
- The Price
- I have read and heard that they take forever to ship* *for this reason, I alsmot purchased a X41 off of eBay because I would get it in about 2-3 days.
Never purchased an IBM before -- so this will be my first. I am told they are great systems and they hold their value, so I am looking forward to getting it! Just hoping I get it before I leave in 2 weeks.
The price......well, after all, my stocks are doing good, so I can definitely afford it (even IBM). Also, my IT department at my University is looking into purchasing several Tablet PC's for use for professors in class. They are looking into Lenovo's models as well as other ones, so this is also a good reason to get one. Since I am responsible for this program at the University, this would be a double positive for me in assiting me in making these recommendations.
So I went to the website, looked at some of the different X60 models, and ordered the one that fits my needs. I don't need an extremely powerful one because I use my powerful desktop to do those kinda things.
Putting the CC number in took a lot of energy out of me -- but after it was all said and done, I can't wait to have this in my hands. Wahoo!
